Memorial Weekend is upon us! Cookouts, friends and family-fun season is officially here. Which means it is time to get your roadtrip and backyard barbecue playlists together. To help you get started, here are a few summer songs (old and new) that you must have in your collection.

JOHNNY LOVE :: Sonora  (Udachi Remix) – Here’s a brand new dance track that will immediately transport you to Sonar Music Festival in Barcelona… or even better, a hot and humid beach party in Ibiza. Heaven.

FRANK OCEAN :: Novacane – Odd Future’s lone crooner just dropped a groove that details exactly how to enjoy the summer comfortably numb. Indulge at your own risk.

BOB MARLEY :: Sun is Shining – There are a million remixes of this… of which the Yes King Remix is my favorite. But you just can’t beat the original. Please pass the rum punch.

DJ JAZZY JEFF & THE FRESH PRINCE :: Summertime – This video shows exactly what the summer should be about, so take notes. DRUMS PLEASE!!!

RICK ROSS feat. WALE & MEEK MILL :: Tupac Back – This track from Maybach Music’s brand new release, Self Made, has absolutely nothing to do with the summer; but I promise you, it will be bumpin’ through speakers all summer long.

CHICAGO :: Saturday in the Park – Now wait a second, you are not too cool to infuse some 70s soft rock into your roadtrip mix. Grab a blanket, pack a picnic basket and chill.

MILES DAVIS :: Summertime – This, my friends, is Sunday morning music. After a long summer weekend of foolishness and debauchery, it is always nice to smooth it out with some jazz.  Who better than Miles?
