The other night Kanye tweeted “1.11.11” and posted cover art for “H.A.M.”, the single he and Jay-Z will be releasing tomorrow.

I am anticipating this release like a Mayweather v. Pacquaio fight. Like an Obama v. Palin debate. I can not WAIT to hear how this goes down. Two hip hop juggernauts teaming up to take on the planet. This can only be epic, right?

Given Jay & Ye’s collab track record (see “Monster” and “Run This Town”), its safe to say that they won’t disappoint. Plus a little birdie told me that “Mr. Reminisce Over You” Pete Rock is producing tracks for Jay / Ye. Then that little birdie died.

Do you think when the following stars collided they thought it would be epic too? Because that, my friend is debatable.

Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder – “Ebony and Ivory” :: I will undoubtedly catch heat for saying this. But, let’s just be honest with each other for a moment. This song (and the video) was/is corny. I’m sorry. This did zero for these iconic, timeless artists. Can we all just pretend it didn’t happen?

Nelly & Tim McGraw – “Over and Over” :: Whyyyyyy??? What did we do to deserve this…?

Wyclef & Kenny Rogers – “The Gambler (Remix)” :: Personally, this song is filed under “guilty pleasure.” Not afraid to admit it. And did Kenny just say, “… you got to count your dubplates, before you touch the turntables.” CLASSIC!
